Every season, a few pieces surprise us. They sell out faster than we can reorder, and the messages keep coming: will you bring it back? This time, we did something more than restock. We went back to the yarn.

The silhouettes you loved are unchanged. The V-necks, the pointelle openwork, the scalloped hems — all exactly as you remember. What changed is what you feel the moment you put one on: a softer hand, a denser knit, and a warmer weight that holds its shape through the season instead of sagging by November.

We'll be direct about one thing: these cost more to make than the originals, and the price reflects that. Better yarn costs more per meter. What you get back is a knit you'll still be reaching for in three winters.

The 10% wool content in the Lieve, Aadhya, and Araya is the key difference. It's a small percentage by weight, but wool's crimped fibers trap air between them — which is why these knits feel noticeably warmer than a pure synthetic of the same thickness, without any extra bulk.
That's the whole idea behind this edit. We didn't redesign anything. We just made the same shapes out of better material.

Lieve V-Neck Floral Embroidered Pointelle Cardigan 

The one with hand-embroidered detail.

Lieve keeps the V-neckline and pointelle openwork that made it a favorite, now knit in the upgraded blend. The floral embroidery runs along the front placket — delicate enough to dress up, structured enough to wear on an ordinary Tuesday.

The pointelle openwork is worth a closer look. It's a knitting technique that creates patterns of small holes in the fabric, and it's what gives Lieve its vintage character. Because the revival version is knit more densely, the openwork reads as intentional detail rather than a gap in the fabric.

Best for: layering over a slip dress or a simple tank, when you want the outfit to look considered without much effort.

Aadhya French V-Neck Floral Knit Cardigan

The one with the ruffle edge.

Aadhya is the romantic in this group. Floral knit patterning across the body, a soft ruffle running down the front, and the same upgraded yarn as Lieve. In creamy-white it reads almost like vintage lace from a distance, but it wears like a modern knit — no scratch, no stiffness.

Wear it buttoned all the way up as a top on its own, or open over a camisole. It's also the easiest of the four to layer over a fall dress, because the V-neck keeps the neckline clean.

It's also the most affordable way into the Revival series, which makes it a good first piece if you're new to the brand. In pink it works as a soft accent under a cardigan; in a neutral it becomes the base layer you stop thinking about.

Giunone Mohair-Merino Revival Cardigan

The one made with real mohair and merino.

Giunone is the biggest upgrade in this edit, and the only one made with animal fibers: 12% merino wool and 10% kid mohair, blended with nylon and acrylic for strength and shape.

The result is a halo-soft surface — that gentle fuzz you only get from mohair — over a cable-knit body finished with a scalloped hem.

The "Revival" in its name isn't marketing. This is the style we brought back specifically to rebuild in a better blend, and the material difference is the most noticeable of the four.

Why merino and mohair matter here:

• Merino wool is much finer than standard wool, so it sits soft against the skin instead of itching.

• Kid mohair comes from young goats and is the softest grade of mohair available. It's what gives this cardigan its light, airy warmth — it holds heat without feeling heavy.

• Nylon and acrylic carry the structure. Without them, a mohair-heavy knit would stretch out at the shoulders within a season. Together, the blend keeps its shape far better than a pure acrylic cardigan.

5 Ways to Wear the Revival Knits

1. Wear a cardigan as a top. Button Lieve or Aadhya all the way up and pair with high-waisted trousers. Add a slim belt over the cardigan to define the waist — the pointelle texture keeps it from looking plain.

2. Layer one over a slip dress. A V-neck cardigan over a silk or satin slip is the easiest way to stretch a summer dress into fall. Choose Aadhya in creamy-white over a deeper-toned dress for contrast.

3. Wear Araya and Giunone together. Put the Araya sweater on as your base and the Giunone cardigan open on top. Pointelle and cable knit layer without bulk, and the pink-on-pink reads as deliberate rather than accidental.

4. Pop a collar out from underneath. Wear Aadhya over a cotton shirt with the collar out. The ruffle edge and the crisp collar play off each other nicely.

5. Belt it with a midi skirt. Half-tuck a sweater into a pleated midi skirt, then drape a cardigan over your shoulders as the finishing layer. Warm enough for a cool morning, easy to remove by afternoon.

Q: Why are the Revival knits more expensive than the original versions?

A: The upgraded yarn costs more per meter. Adding 10% wool — and in Giunone's case, 12% merino plus 10% kid mohair — raises the material cost significantly compared to a pure synthetic knit. What you're paying for is a denser knit, more warmth for the same thickness, and a shape that holds up instead of stretching out. If you owned the original and it eventually lost its shape, this is the version that fixes that.

Q: Are the Revival knits itchy because they contain wool?

A: No. The wool content in Lieve, Aadhya, and Araya is 10%, and in Giunone the merino is a fine-grade fiber known for being soft against skin. Customers who normally avoid wool because of itchiness tend to find these blends comfortable, because the synthetic fibers carry the structure while the wool provides warmth. If you've been avoiding wool entirely, Giunone is the one to try.

Q: How do I know which size to order?

A: The Revival styles are designed with a relaxed, vintage fit and run true to size for most customers. Each product page includes a detailed size chart with measurements in both cm and inches. If you're between sizes and want a closer fit, size down; for a slouchier look, stay true to size. Araya in particular is cut generously — if you prefer a fitted sweater, consider sizing down.

Q: Can I machine wash these cardigans?

A: Lieve can be hand washed in cold water with a wool-safe detergent. Aadhya, Araya, and Giunone should be dry cleaned. None of the four should go in a tumble dryer, and none should be bleached.

A: The Revival edit is produced in limited quantities, based on how much of the upgraded yarn we were able to secure.
